Abdulaziz Alfarraj leads the Regulatory & Governance practice and the firm's most critical regulatory and compliance mandates across transportation, logistics, investment, trade and infrastructure, and oversees the resolution of high-stakes regulatory disputes. Before joining the firm he served as Deputy of Regulations and Legal Affairs and Acting General Supervisor of Legal Affairs at the Transport General Authority, where he led the development of the Kingdom's land, maritime, railway and postal transport laws and represented Saudi Arabia at the International Maritime Organization.
- Leads the firm's advisory before the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, including committee minutes, review of Expert Commission memoranda and legal studies on agenda topics.
- Leads the advisory on the transformation of the Automobile Syndicate into a corporate structure under the Royal Commission framework.
- Leads legal studies on regulatory positioning within the transport ecosystem, including platform frameworks, user contracts and governance policies.
- Oversees the representation of clients in housing project disputes and regulatory proceedings.
- Negotiated the Haramain High-Speed Railway fire settlement; Chairman of the Maritime Transport Violations Committee.
