Dr. Hussein serves as Of Counsel at KN&P. He is a UK-qualified solicitor as well as holding a license from the New York Bar Association. With many years of extensive legal expertise, he exemplifies our commitment to providing steadfast high-quality service for our clients.
Dr Hussein studied at California State University Fullerton in the United States where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Political Science. He went on to achieve the degree, Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, Colorado.

- Helped bring the Sudden Unintended Acceleration issue for Toyota and Lexus to a resolution with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- In charge of the National Commercial Bank’s September 11 litigation reporting directly to the Board. Joint responsibility for managing the team of lawyers with the Chairman’s Technical Advisor which led to the successful defense in both the trial and appellate court on the USD three (3) trillion-dollar litigation. Full dismissal of the case.
- Co –Lead of team that negotiated the successful acquisition of a bank in Turkey which was the largest off-shore acquisition by a Saudi company or bank at the time.
- Co-Lead of team that negotiated with Goldman Sachs International to set-up operations in Saudi Arabia with NCB Capital. The venture signed but never closed.
- Was a key member of the steering committee and the working group that successfully launched the NCB EMTN Program.
- Was a key member of several multibank teams that worked on several high-profile bankruptcies to ensure maximum recovery for Saudi banks.
- Key member of the NCB team that worked and successfully completed multiple IPOs.
- Saudi American Bank - United Saudi Bank merger. Helped close at the time the largest merger in Middle East history to make the Saudi American Bank one of the three biggest banks in the Middle East.
- Helped create the first commercial paper / bond-like issue in Saudi Arabia to change the way private equity capital is raised. Project involved intensive and groundbreaking meetings and negotiations between lawyers, bankers and officials from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (Central Bank) addressing novel issues dealing with Shar’ia law, Saudi commercial law, Western precedents, and concepts to expand the banking role and to help move the Saudi economy to more fully compete with other nations.
- Worked on the banking E-Commerce initiative in Saudi Arabia. Worked on the Saudi American Bank web site, drafted documentation to make banking products available on-line while outlining the rights and obligations of all the parties, drafted documentation to retain software companies to develop on-line banking platform, and drafted documents to inform and educate the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency on internet related issues.
- Member of SAMA committee created to produce a feasible and working fraud list to which banks can list former employees fired due to substantial evidence of fraud against their employers.
